Who’s Sadé , anyway?
Sadé Ayodele began her performing career as a four year old by walking up to the pastor in the middle of his sermon and demanding his mic, before leading the congregation in a stirring rendition of ‘Jesus Loves Me.’ Since then, her professionalism has vastly improved, and she has performed in regional theaters, on National tours, and in both indie films and major network television shows.
She majored in film and theater and upon graduating, spent a season as an apprentice with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. After, she moved to Los Angeles where she now lives and works as an actor, singer, and audiobook narrator. She is classically trained in singing and acting, including opera, musical theater, and Shakespearean acting. Her training lends to her work a deep understanding of the interplay of musicality, language, and story.
Her favorite roles include Bea in Jaja’s African Hair Braiding (Center Theatre Group) and Queen Margaret in Henry VI Part III (Shakespeare & Company, STI). When she isn’t embodying characters with more heart than they let on, she’s hogging the mic at piano bars and probably overanalyzing a musical.
